Callison Marks was born in Spokane in 1905. After he served in WWII, he returned to Spokane to become the chief editorial writer for the Spokesman-Review. He was actively interested in water resource issues in the Pacific Northwest and Canada. Mr. Marks was appointed to serve on the Western States Water Council in 1965.
